I Would Describe Myself As My name is Roland and my career was in computers, I still enjoy using my computer and the internet. My move to the south of the country came about after I was invited to join a company in Reading as their IT manager, looking after 3 sites. They then sold out to a French conglomerate and I was made redundant.

I live in a small, single, bed sit in a multiple occupancy building, on the edge of the cliff at Barton-on-Sea. I am a 64 year old northerner by birth, born and lived in Hull for many years then moved to the beautiful walled city of York.

I'm 100% genuine, sincere, generous when I can afford to be, caring, tactile to a degree, loving, caring, supportive, kind, gentle(man), honest, trusting, faithful, laid back and have often been told 'you are a lovely man'. I no longer work and it would be nice to have someone to share life with again. I have been married and divorced twice. Neither divorce involved violence nor infidelity, the marriages lasted 20 years and 6 years.

Travelling is one of my favourite pastimes, constrained by funding. I would love to visit the whole of South America, Russia, China, the south eastern corner of Asia from Singapore round to Malaysia and take in Japan on the way.

I am not a sports participant but like to watch a limited range of sports. Among the events I will watch and enjoy are athletics and the Olympics, Boxing - but the lighter weights only, Formula 1 Racing, Touring Car Racing, British Style Wrestling, Super Bike Racing.
