I'm probably more like the hare (well, maybe the Energizer Bunny) than the tortoise. Play hard, sleep hard, repeat. The spontaneous side of me is always on the lookout for new opportunities. (Fly a biplane? Sure!) Yeah, 50 years of experience has taught me to temper this enthusiasm a bit (I didn't feel well after doing spins in that biplane). I guess what I'm saying is that I enjoy living life and I have an open mind for where that might take me. Don't get me wrong - I don't crave a constant adrenaline rush. My zest for life also shows up in more down-to-earth activities like hiking, bicycling and even in quiet times like snuggling with someone special and watching a movie. There’s even an artistic side to me that I’ll tell you about if you want. It's more the way I think about life and cherish each moment in it than the specific things I do. My outlook on life has rubbed off on my 12 year-old daughter who is with me every other week. We have a great time doing things together like playing Frisbee, going camping, jumping off a rope swing or reading together (assuming she gets her homework done and cleans up her room that is).
I’d like to be with a woman who has a similar enthusiasm and sense of wonder for life. Not necessarily the same outlook, but a complementary one. Someone who sings harmony to my melody. Someone who encourages me in my art, laughs with me until our sides hurt, and goes to work late sometimes because we let go to our passion. Maybe it’s the inner joy you feel exploring new places together, the way you listen deeply to others, or your love for your own children - the specifics don’t matter. It’s the mindset that counts. The right woman not only fascinates me but brings out the best in me.
